News:

On the opening day of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s Monsoon Session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid heartfelt tribute to senior Samajwadi Party MLA, the late Alam Badi. Alam Badi, who was over 90 years old, passed away on July 23. He had been elected five times as the MLA from the Nizamabad Assembly constituency in Azamgarh district and had been suffering from prolonged illness.

As the Leader of the House, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also paid tribute to 21 other former legislators who had passed away. He said that for a public representative, age is not as important as dedication and commitment to serving the people.

Praising Alam Badi’s long, simple, and spotless political career, the Chief Minister said that he served the public with complete honesty, sincerity, and dedication, and that his contribution would always be remembered.

During the tribute, the Assembly observed a two-minute silence in memory of the departed legislators.
