Lucknow High Court Postpones Bar Council Election

The Uttar Pradesh Bar Council elections have been postponed until further orders by Returning Officer Justice A.R. Masoodi due to chaos at the Lucknow High C election was part of the third phase of the Uttar Pradesh Bar Council elections, in which voting was scheduled in 17 districts including Lucknow. Crowds and disorder prevailed at polling stations since morning, prompting the Returning Officer to issue an immediate postponement order.This postponement could impact the entire election schedule, as the Supreme Court had directed the declaration of first-phase results by January 31. Lawyer organizations are raising questions about who is responsible for the chaos and when the voting will be rescheduled. Discussions have also intensified regarding the role of the High-Power Committee.
