On the 4th day of Muharram, the Ashura gatherings in Lucknow are uniting the hearts of Imam Hussain and Karbala devotees across India. These majlis sessions blend worship with discussions on national and international issues, yet one vital act of devotion is often overlooked—awakening our community to the importance of education and lawful earnings.
Today, both central and state governments offer a 10% reservation in government jobs for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), but our community remains deprived of these benefits due to a lack of awareness. We urge the organizers of these majlis to dedicate some time to guide children and youth toward education, technical skills, and employment opportunities. Encourage them to register for the EWS scheme to unlock its benefits.
This Muharram, let us embrace Imam Hussain’s teachings by illuminating a brighter future for our youth. May Allah bless us all.
