India Government Sends Medical Aid for War-Wounded in Iran

New Delhi/Tehran, March 18, 2026. Amid the intense conflict between Israel-America and Iran entering its 19th day in the Middle East, India has taken a major humanitarian step. The Indian government has sent the first consignment of medical aid to Iran, including life-saving medicines and medical equipment for treating the wounded. The embassy stated, “The first consignment of medical aid from the esteemed people of India has been handed over to the Iranian Red Crescent Society. We thank the kind people of India from the bottom of our hearts.” This step comes at a time when Iran had requested special medicines and medical equipment from India, with diplomatic talks ongoing between the two countries.
