Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, born in 1939 in Mashhad, has dedicated his life to the Islamic Revolution and the path of Allah. A master of the Quran, Fiqh, and Tafsir, Khamenei assumed the role of Supreme Leader in 1989, steering Iran toward becoming a nuclear power and strengthening the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Despite enemy nations attempting to subdue Iran through sanctions and pressure, Khamenei declared, “When Allah is the greatest, there is no question of bowing to anyone.”
Supporting the oppressed in Gaza, Palestine, Yemen, and Lebanon, even at 86, his courage and zeal remain youthful. This reflects the lesson of Karbala’s martyrs—never submit to tyranny. While some clerics speak of Allah and the Prophet’s family but cower before the powerful, Khamenei’s life is a lesson for every cleric. His bravery is not a God-given gift but the result of unwavering faith in Allah and an resolute will to fight oppression.
Inspiration: Abandon fear and steadfastly confront tyranny on Allah’s path, as Khamenei does at 86.
