Donald Trump’s Major Announcement: Frozen Iranian Assets to Be Used to Purchase American Wheat, Soybeans, and Corn

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that if Iran’s frozen overseas assets are released, the funds will be used to purchase American wheat, soybeans, and corn from U.S. farmers. According to Trump, this arrangement would provide Iran with essential food supplies while also delivering significant economic benefits to American farmers.

However, Iran has rejected Trump’s claim. Iranian officials stated that the decision on how its frozen assets will be used rests solely with Iran, and that the United States has no authority to impose conditions on their use.

Experts believe that if an agreement is reached between the two countries, agricultural trade between the United States and Iran could resume after many years. Nevertheless, differences remain between the two sides, and the proposal has yet to gain mutual acceptance.
