BJP Expresses Anger Over Kharge’s Remarks, Targets Congress

The political controversy over Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s remarks concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late father has intensified. The BJP has expressed strong displeasure over the statement and criticised the Congress leadership.

BJP leaders said that political differences are part of democracy, but making remarks about someone’s family is inappropriate. They alleged that instead of expressing regret, the Congress was defending Kharge’s statement.

The BJP said that criticism of government policies is legitimate in a democracy, but political opponents should not cross the boundaries of personal dignity and decency.
