Maharashtra TET: Hijab and Burqa Allowed, But Face and Ears Must Remain Visible
The Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) has issued revised guidelines for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) scheduled on June 28. Female candidates will be allowed to wear hijab, burqa, or a dupatta during the examination, but their face, head, mouth, and ears must remain fully visible to ensure clear identification through live CCTV monitoring. The earlier guidelines had prohibited hijab, burqa, masks, and caps, but the rules were revised following requests from female candidates.
