SP protest at Jantar Mantar, demand for Azam Khan’s release intensifies

Today, workers of the Samajwadi Party staged a strong protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The protesters raised the demand for the release of senior leader Azam Khan from jail and appealed to the government to take prompt action in the matter. During the protest, the workers raised slogans and said that justice should be done for Azam Khan.
Party leaders alleged that Azam Khan is being harassed for political reasons. They demanded a fair investigation into all cases and immediate relief for him. A large number of workers were present at the spot, and the administration kept security arrangements tight as a precaution.
