Former Railway Minister Mukul Roy Passes Away

Former Union Railway Minister and key Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Mukul Roy passed away on Monday at the age of 71 due to a cardiac arrest. Roy, once considered number two after Mamata Banerjee in TMC which he co-founded with her, was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Kolkata’s Salt Lake, where he breathed his last around 1:30 AM.Family Statement and BackgroundHis son Subhranshu Roy confirmed the demise, stating, “He died last night from cardiac arrest.
