Samajwadi Party Sends Defamation Notice to Nishikant Dubey, Demands Removal of Post and Public Apology in Tinnu Yadav Case:

Date: July 7, 2026

Detailed Report:

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has served a legal defamation notice on Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nishikant Dubey. The controversy stems from claims made on social media regarding Tinnu Yadav, who has been named as an accused in the alleged Ayodhya temple donation misappropriation case.

The dispute began after Nishikant Dubey shared a social media post linking Tinnu Yadav to the Samajwadi Party and its national president, Akhilesh Yadav. In response, Akhilesh Yadav strongly objected to the post, giving Dubey a 10-minute ultimatum to delete it and warning that an FIR would be filed if the post was not removed.

Subsequently, the Samajwadi Party issued a legal notice to Nishikant Dubey. The notice states that the allegations made on social media are false, misleading, and defamatory, causing damage to the party’s reputation. The party has demanded the immediate removal of the post, an unconditional public apology, and an assurance that such baseless allegations will not be repeated in the future.

The notice further warns that if the post is not deleted and an apology is not issued within the stipulated time, the party will initiate appropriate legal proceedings, including a defamation suit.

As of the time of filing this report, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had not issued any official response to the legal notice. The controversy has now moved beyond political exchanges and appears to be heading toward a legal battle, drawing significant public and political attention.
