Netanyahu Hits Back at NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Vows to Address UN Despite ICC Warrant Support

Jerusalem/New York: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly responded to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani after the mayor said Netanyahu was “not welcome” in New York and expressed support for the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against him.
Rejecting the criticism, Netanyahu announced that he will travel to New York in September to address the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He accused Mayor Mamdani of “fomenting hate” and dismissed the war crimes allegations against him as baseless.
The exchange comes amid continued international scrutiny over Israel’s military actions in Gaza and the ICC’s arrest warrant, which Netanyahu has consistently rejected. Despite the controversy, the Israeli Prime Minister reaffirmed his intention to attend the UN session and present Israel’s position before the international community.
