Maulana Yasub Abbas to Meet Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in New Delhi Today

Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, who arrived in India to attend the 18th BRICS Summit, will meet Maulana Yasub Abbas, General Secretary of the All India Shia Personal Law Board, in New Delhi today.
Maulana Yasub Abbas has been invited by Iran’s Ambassador to India, Dr. Mohammad Fathali, to attend a special dialogue with President Pezeshkian, along with prominent religious leaders, intellectuals and social representatives.
According to the invitation issued by the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi, the special interaction will be held this evening at The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi, followed by a dinner.
The meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest, India-Iran relations and important issues concerning the wider Muslim world.
Maulana Yasub Abbas will participate in the high-level interaction as a prominent Shia cleric and General Secretary of the All India Shia Personal Law Board. His participation is being seen as an important representation of India’s Shia religious and intellectual leadership in the dialogue with the Iranian leadership.
President Masoud Pezeshkian is currently on his first visit to India and is in New Delhi to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit.
