Shiva Sharma Died After Falling from the Fourth Floor

According to police and media reports, businessman Shiva Sharma died on October 9, 2026, after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartments in the Balu Adda area under Hazratganj Police Station. Shiva was reportedly around 28 years old. Following the incident, his mother, Ranjana Sharma, lodged a complaint alleging murder.

Based on the complaint, a murder case was registered at Hazratganj Police Station. Police are investigating the alleged involvement of Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, Tanveer Ali alias Danish, and others. Investigators are examining the post-mortem report, evidence collected from the scene, and CCTV footage.

Three Accused, Including Shraddha Dubey, Absconding

Police have formed several teams to arrest Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey, and Tanveer Ali alias Danish. According to media reports, police suspect that the accused may have fled to Nepal. Investigators are searching for leads from Lucknow to the India-Nepal border. Reports also suggest that the Nepal Police may have been contacted.

Police have obtained non-bailable warrants against the three accused. However, they have not yet been arrested. Raids are continuing at various locations to trace them.

Reward Increased from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000

Initially, police had announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for the arrest of the three accused. Subsequently, the reward for information leading to Shraddha Dubey’s arrest was increased to ₹50,000.

Meanwhile, a video statement by Shraddha Dubey has reportedly surfaced, in which she claimed to be innocent and described Shiva Sharma’s death as a suicide. However, her claims have not been independently verified. The investigation is ongoing, and police are examining all aspects of the case.

Inspector Vikram Singh Sent to Police Lines; Senior Officers Also Face Action

Following the delay in arresting Shraddha Dubey and the other accused, the police department has initiated action against officials. Inspector Vikram Singh, the SHO of Hazratganj Police Station, has been sent to the police lines.

According to reports, DCP Central Vikrant Veer has also been removed from his post and attached to police headquarters.

Reports dated October 19 further state that ACP Hazratganj Rajneesh Verma has also been removed from his post and transferred to the Crime Branch. These developments indicate that departmental action has widened over the handling of the case.

Arrest of the Accused Remains a Major Challenge for Police

The Shiva Sharma death case has emerged as a major challenge for the Lucknow Police. While the victim’s family has alleged murder, different claims have also emerged from the accused’s side. Police are working to piece together the sequence of events based on available evidence and statements.

The actual circumstances surrounding Shiva Sharma’s death are expected to become clearer once the accused are arrested and the investigation progresses.

Editorial Note: Available reports identify the deceased as Shiva Sharma, rather than Shiv Sharma. Additionally, reports primarily mention the ₹50,000 reward in connection with Shraddha Dubey. It would be appropriate to verify separately whether the same reward amount applies to the other accused.
