“If Anything Happens to Me, Iran Will Face Unprecedented Bombing” — Trump’s Statement Sparks Fresh Assassination Plot Debate on Social Media

U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with the New York Post on Friday that he has been on Iran’s alleged “hit list” for a long time. Trump stated, “I have already given instructions that if anything happens to me, Iran should be bombed at a level the world has never seen before.”

Trump further claimed that Iran has wanted to assassinate him for many years. He said, “I have been at the top of Iran’s target list for a long time, and that’s just life.” Earlier, in February 2025, Trump had made a similar statement, saying that if Iran were to assassinate him, the United States would launch a strong retaliatory response.

Following Trump’s latest remarks, widespread discussion has erupted on social media. Many users have referred to the two assassination attempts during Trump’s presidential election campaign, posting various comments and opinions. Some have speculated that Iran may have been involved in those incidents and believe Trump was alluding to that possibility.

However, there has been no official confirmation of these claims. U.S. investigative agencies have not publicly concluded that Iran was responsible for those attacks. Nevertheless, speculation and debate on social media continue.

It is worth noting that Trump survived two assassination attempts during the election campaign and later went on to win the election, returning to the presidency. His latest statement has once again intensified discussions about U.S.-Iran relations and concerns over his security.
