Asian Games Gold Medallist Sarita Gaikwad Duped of ₹69 Lakh

Gujarat athlete Sarita Gaikwad, who won a gold medal at the Asian Games, has allegedly been cheated of ₹69.10 lakh. According to the allegations, a man named Nitin Bharti lured her into investing in the sand business by promising a monthly return of 4 per cent. Trusting the offer, Sarita transferred the money online. However, she allegedly received neither the promised profits nor her original investment back. A fraud complaint has reportedly been filed in connection with the case.
