Message of the Prophet Resonates at Shia College as Jashn-e-Mursal-e-Azam Draws a Large Gathering

A grand Jashn-e-Mursal-e-Azam was organised at Shia P.G. College, Victoria Street, Chowk, Lucknow, to mark 1,500 years since the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH). The event was attended by religious scholars, preachers, representatives of Anjumans, poets, academicians, social organisations and a large number of devotees.
The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Nadeem Najafi, while Prof. Abbas Raza Nayyar Jalalpuri conducted the proceedings.
Addressing the gathering, Hujjatul Islam Maulana Dr. Abdul Majeed Hakim Ilahi, representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, said that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was a unique and unparalleled personality whose greatness, he said, could never be matched.
Maulana Yasub Abbas highlighted the Prophet’s teachings of compassion and humanity, stressing that one should never abandon humanity regardless of how others behave.
Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Danish Azad Ansari said that Islam teaches goodness and righteousness and urged young people to gain knowledge of both religion and the modern world. Prof. Ali Khan Mahmudabad emphasised the importance of standing firmly for truth and justice, while Dr. Abbas Ali Mehdi, Vice Chancellor of Era University, stressed the need to follow the Prophet’s teachings in today’s circumstances.
Maulana Syed Saim Mehdi Naqvi, Prof. Aziz Haider, Maulana Ejaz Athar and Shia College Manager Abbas Murtaza Shamsi also addressed the gathering and highlighted various aspects of the Prophet’s life, mercy and teachings.
On the occasion, Lucknow Police officials, members of the Peace and Harmony Committee and representatives of various organisations were honoured for their role in ensuring the peaceful conduct of Muharram and other religious and mourning processions. The awards were presented by Ayatullah Abdul Majeed Hakim Ilahi and Maulana Yasub Abbas.
At the conclusion of the programme, Prof. Shabeeh-e-Raza Baqri, Principal of Shia P.G. College, expressed gratitude to all the guests and participants. Renowned Ahle-Bait poets Ejaz Zaidi, Hasan Faraz and Taj Kanpuri then presented tributes in honour of the Holy Prophet.
The event concluded with a message of faith, brotherhood, humanity and commitment to the teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH).
