U.S. President Donald Trump said that the United States is considering ending its broader military efforts against Iran, as its objectives have nearly been achieved. According to reports, Trump also indicated that America’s aim was not regime change in Iran, but rather weakening its military capability.

Trump said in his statement that the objectives the United States had set regarding Iran are now close to being completed. For this reason, he signaled that the United States may soon step back from the campaign.
According to media reports, Trump also said that the new people in charge are “smart people” and are thinking about wrapping up the matter instead of escalating it further.
The report also said that the U.S. objective was to bring about regime change in Iran and to reduce its missile capability, defense infrastructure, and regional threat.
