King George Medical College: 15 Days Since Mazars Notice, What Steps Taken to Protect the Mazars?

Spread the love

Fifteen days have passed since the notice was posted on the mazar established at Lucknow’s King George Medical College (KGMC). This sacred site, dedicated to the loving teachings of Sufis, has sparked concern among devotees due to the notice. The Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board and the mutawalli have registered their objections, but they haven’t received any concrete information yet. Has the board held any discussions? Has a case been presented in court? Sources indicate growing public anger against the authorities—they only give speeches but fail to move the paperwork forward. Intellectual Kambar Raja Mintu Sahab’s precise statement links this issue to Karbala: “We have the great example of Karbala before us. The people of Kufa didn’t come out to help Imam Hussain, and after his martyrdom, his family was taken captive. Today, we need brave souls like Janabe Habib and Janabe Hurr, who stood up for the truth despite being few in number and sacrificed their lives. We must stay away from these ‘pigeon-flyers’ who only fly pigeons from their own rooftops—they neither step into the field themselves nor protect the truth.”This ‘pigeon-flyer’ metaphor is a sharp attack on today’s so-called leaders who, instead of protecting the mazars, keep soaring from their political rooftops. They must have some shame left—take this mazar notice issue to the honorable court and set an example for future generations. Let this legacy of Sufi love not be erased, or history will remember us like the people of Kufa!Remember, the notice declares the mazar illegal and demands its removal within 15 days, failing which it will be demolished using police force.
