Massive Fire Breaks Out at Jawahar Bhawan in Lucknow’s VIP Area; Panic on Fourth Floor, Blaze Brought Under Control, Probe Ordered

Lucknow: A massive fire broke out on Monday morning at Jawahar Bhawan, one of the major government office complexes located in the VIP area of Hazratganj, Lucknow, triggering panic among employees and visitors. According to preliminary information, the fire started on the fourth floor, where the Food and Civil Supplies Department office and the canteen are located. Thick smoke quickly engulfed the building, creating chaos and forcing people to evacuate.
Eyewitnesses said that as soon as the fire broke out, employees inside the building were immediately evacuated. Security personnel cleared the premises and informed the Fire Department. Several fire tenders reached the spot within minutes and launched an intensive firefighting operation. Since the fire was on an upper floor, firefighters had to exercise extra caution during the rescue and firefighting efforts.
Preliminary reports suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit. No casualties or injuries have been reported so far. However, furniture, official documents, and other office property are believed to have suffered damage.
