Date: February 23, 2026, 5:36 PM ISTLucknow/Tokyo: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has arrived in Tokyo today, marking the second phase of his four-day Singapore-Japan visit aimed at transforming the state into India’s manufacturing powerhouse. �The tour, scheduled from February 23 to 26, allocates the first two days (February 23-24) to Singapore and the final two (February 25-26) to Japan. Tokyo’s grand welcome features Shri Ram flags, symbolizing cultural warmth amid business pursuits. �Key Meetings and CompaniesThe Chief Minister will engage with representatives from 33 global firms, including Japanese giants like Toshiba, Suzuki Motors, Kubota, Tokyo Electron, Toyo Denso, Japan Aviation Electronics, and Nagase & Company. �The “Japan-Uttar Pradesh Partnership for Manufacturing, Mobility, and Technology” summit will focus on automobile investments, semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, and supply chain collaboration. �Investment and Development AgendaSharing the vision of a ‘$1 Trillion Economy’ for UP, CM Yogi will emphasize data centers, renewable energy, green hydrogen, logistics hubs, infrastructure, and skill development. Discussions with Temasek Chairman Teo Chee Hean in Singapore are complete, while Japan includes a meeting with Yamanashi Governor and a 100 km test ride on the Maglev high-speed train (600 km/h speed). �Cultural and Religious EventsPlans feature darshan at a Hanuman temple 45 km from Tokyo, addresses to the Indian diaspora, and community events. �Traveling in his signature saffron attire—this is Yogi’s first foreign trip since 2017—the focus remains on meetings with political figures, investors, and the Indian diaspora. �Accompanied by an 11-member delegation, this mission will elevate ‘Make in UP’ on the global stage.
