New Delhi, February 3, 2026: A spectacular scene of enthusiasm unfolded in the Parliament hall as NDA leaders congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the historic trade deal with the United States and honored him by garlanding him.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister stated that this deal will prove to be a boon for the countrymen, as the tariff on ‘Made in India’ products has been reduced to just 18%, directly benefiting 1.4 billion Indians economically.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in Parliament, “This agreement will not only strengthen trade but also take India-US defense cooperation to new heights. The partnership between President Trump and PM Modi will become a symbol of global peace.”

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar described it as a new chapter in bilateral relations, stating, “This is the outcome of our discussions with Marco Rubio. This deal will strengthen India’s position in global trade and deepen trust between the two nations.”

Finance Minister Dr. Nirmala Sitharaman praised the deal from an economic perspective, “The tariff reduction will provide immense opportunities for Indian exporters. This is a milestone towards Atmanirbhar Bharat, boosting job creation and economic growth.”

The NDA’s collective welcome forced the opposition into silence, while PM Modi thanked Trump on social media, highlighting their strong friendship.
