“Azam Was, Azam Is, and Azam Will Remain”: Akhilesh Yadav’s Message from Rampur

Rampur | Shabu Zaidi

Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav strongly voiced his support for senior party leader Azam Khan from the land of Rampur. He declared, “Azam was, Azam is, and Azam will remain.”

Akhilesh Yadav alleged that Azam Khan had been targeted and harassed through false cases. He said that false cases were not powerful enough to imprison the truth. According to him, those who conspire to keep someone behind bars also remain trapped in a prison of fear within their own minds, constantly worrying that the truth will eventually come out and they will have to face the consequences of their actions.

Targeting the BJP, the SP president alleged that corrupt officials and false cases were being used as key weapons to target political opponents. He said that when the history of alleged injustice under BJP rule was written, Rampur would feature prominently.

BJP Targeted Over Jauhar University

Akhilesh Yadav raised the issue of Jauhar University, alleging that attempts to shut down the institution were part of a conspiracy to undermine the educational rights of the backward classes, Dalits and minorities. He accused the BJP of adopting a negative approach towards educational institutions.

He said that BJP leaders resented Azam Khan because they could never match his progressive outlook and positive approach. Akhilesh also criticised the party over education and knowledge, saying that its attitude towards education was disappointing.

People Will Respond to the BJP

The SP president said that the people would respond to the BJP’s politics of revenge. He expressed confidence that voters would use their democratic rights to bring about a change in the BJP’s political fortunes.

Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks are being viewed as a reaffirmation of the Samajwadi Party’s support for Azam Khan and its opposition to the policies of the BJP government.
