19-Year-Old Kaziah Liz Mejo from Kerala Crowned Miss Universe India 2026

Nineteen-year-old Kaziah Liz Mejo, originally from Mavelikkara in Kerala, has won the Miss Universe India 2026 title. At the grand finale held in Jaipur on August 23, she defeated 52 contestants to win the prestigious crown.

Kaziah is currently pursuing a law degree in Bengaluru. She spent her early childhood in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she completed her schooling. Alongside her studies, she is also active in modelling and the performing arts.

A trained classical dancer for 12 years, Kaziah is also interested in singing and playing the violin and drums. She has also appeared in the Malayalam film ‘Shylock.’

In 2026, Kaziah won the Miss Universe Kerala title, becoming one of the youngest contestants to achieve the honour. Earlier, in 2025, she represented India at Miss Teen International, where she finished as the first runner-up.

Kaziah will now represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico later this year. Her achievement has brought pride and celebration to Kerala and the entire country.
